We often get asked to explain the differing types of greenhouses we offer and also the suitability of each greenhouse for certain growing ambitions and garden sizes. In our experience though the first thing to ask yourself is how you see yourself using your greenhouse. Your new glasshouse can become your garden refuge and there is more to a greenhouse than simply a tool to grow plants.
I find February quite a funny time of year. Luckily it’s the shortest month and, on the whole, it’s over in a flash. However on the coldest, greyest days, it can all get a bit frustrating.
The early bird catches the worm, so the old saying goes. Although planning a vegetable patch may not be at the top of your list as we head towards winter, we recommend spending some time now planning next year’s crop, in order to reap the best rewards. Successful crops require careful planning and time spent on this now will be well rewarded next Spring.
The purpose of a storage shed is to keep those regularly used items close at hand, whilst keeping rarely used items less accessible but neat and tidy. Storing your potting compost at the back of your shed, behind the wheelbarrow and the lawn mower, may seem to be a good idea at the time, but as you move everything out of the way for the third time in a week, you can soon see the sense of better-thought out system.
Between October’s mellow ambience and the long nights of December’s holiday period, November has much to offer the gardener. The mix of gloomy greys, crispy frosts and low sunshine with unexpected warmth offer plenty of opportunities to finish those year-end tasks and plan for the new season.
