Greenhouse growers can attend Gardeners Question Time

Fans of greenhouses are being invited to a special event at the Royal Horticultural Societys (RHS) Garden Harlow Carr.

BBC Radio 4s Gardeners Question Time annual Garden Party will be held at the site on September 5th, where two shows will be recorded.

The programmes will air on September 18th and 25th, with attendees able to put their queries to a panel of experts.

Among those giving pearls of wisdom on the day will be Pippa Greenwood, who will also host a pest and disease clinic.

Those with problem specimens are able to bring a sample along in a sealed bag for the celebrity gardener to have a look at.

Other experts on the panel include Bunny Guinness, Eric Robson, Chris Beardshaw and Bob Flowerdew.

A swap shop will also be on offer, where attendees can exchange plants for something new.

Tickets cost £3 for RHS members and £10 for non-members and grant access to a number of other workshops where gardening tips will be on offer.

In other news, the body recently held its first Local Produce Show in Devon, with growers able to exhibit the food they had cultivated in their gardens and greenhouses.
