A top property magazine has said that adding a conservatory is the "easiest way to extend" a property.
The London Magazine suggests that conservatories are much-changed from their Victorian counterparts and that every home can benefit from their virtues.
Go for an ultra-modern frameless look to erase the lines between the living space and the garden, the magazine advises.
"Theres no need to limit it to just one level either, a double-height glazed extension can be used to connect the basement and the first floor as well as providing extra space," it reads.
"To this, you can add an electrically controlled sliding roof and sliding glass doors – so that on those days the climate turns Mediterranean, you can make the most of it without ever leaving the house."
With summer approaching, a conservatory could be the ideal place to entertain guests.
The Daily Telegraph recently suggested that the dinner party was making a comeback.
