A third of Brits to decorate before Christmas

New research has shown that a large proportion of Brits are planning to spruce up their home for Christmas.

With the festive period starting to gather some real pace, the Fun on the Floor campaign has revealed that almost a third (31 per cent) of Britons plan to decorate before Santa arrives.

Company spokesman David Cormack suggested that one reason for this is that people are spending more time at home and want to have a nice environment in which to do so.

"As people are feeling the pinch they are going out less often so they are looking to entertain far more frequently at home," he said.

"People are looking to make their homes into a more cool environment and a nicer place to entertain their friends, especially coming up to Christmas."

With the prospect of a white Christmas, a bespoke conservatory or lean-to glazed extension could be the perfect December addition to the home, providing a magical winter wonderland setting for entertaining and opening the gifts under the tree.

Fun on the Floor is a campaign designed to promote the benefits of choosing a carpet as a flooring in the home.
