Spooky goings on at Kew

The Royal Horticultural Societys (RHS) Kew Gardens is to host a number of events in the run up to Halloween on October 31st.

Designed to educate kids, the Gardens will issue children with special quizzes as they enter during half term.

The little saplings can then go around the gardens and Tree Trail learning about bark, leaves and roots to help them fill in their quiz.

At the end, kids can take home their specially designed quiz sheets to transform into seed boxes to help grow their own plants.

Kews botanical play zone Climbers and Creepers will offer a range of "Colours of Autumn" arts and crafts and gardening sessions between October 25th and November 2nd.

A special Halloween ride will also be available on Kews Explorer Bus between October 27th and November 2nd.

The most popular event is likely to be the Halloween Climbers and Creepers costume parade on October 31st, in which all families and children are invited to take part.
