Schoolchildren build their own garden

The garden was created by year seven pupils aged 11 and 12 and is now part of The Bridge, which is a college within the school just for pupils of that age.

Helen Coward, the teacher who came up with the idea, told the Coventry Telegraph that gardening is one of many different activities that are solely dedicated to the year seven students.

“The Bridge gives our new year seven students a wonderful start at secondary school because it is dedicated entirely to a happy and productive transition from primary school,” she added.

Barclays Bank volunteers helped with the project by contributing both materials and time.
