RHS London and Plant Design Show inviting gardeners to pick up new ideas

The RHS’s London and Plant Design Show will be an opportunity for gardeners to pick up ideas on how to make the most of their green space. Gardeners are invited to attend the event, which will take place on Tuesday 15th February and Wednesday 16th February at the RHS Horticultural Halls in on Greycoat Street and Vincent Square.

The show will feature two rooftop gardens, which gardeners staying in hotels will be able to explore. The gardens, which have been designed by RHS Young Designer of the Year 2010 Hugo Bugg and BBC Gardeners’ World Live winner Melissa Jolly, will show horticulturists how they can make the most of their garden space.

The RHS recently carried out research which showed that rooftop gardening can be beneficial as it can help to combat climate change.

Scientist Tijana Blanusa said: “Getting planting right in urban spaces, which can be very limited, can have a major effect in not only helping reduce urban temperatures but will also provide other environmental benefits.”
