RHS Community Gardening Grant

The Royal Horticultural Society has opened up applications for its second annual Yorkshire based grassroots gardening programme. The scheme will provide a grant £100,000 to community gardening projects across the county.

The project is part of a two pronged effort to encourage sustainable gardening in Britain. A similar scheme is launching in Scotland later this year.

Supported by the leading cleaning equipment manufacturer Karcher, the Yorkshire fund will consist of large grants of up to £10,000 and smaller grants of up to £500.

Last year, more than 100 communities applied for funding, with 32 groups receiving grants of up to £8000. Keighley homeless charity Keyhouse was awarded £5000 to help build a kitchen garden for its service users.

The deadline for applications for the RHS Karcher Community Fund us March 14. Follow the link below to apply.
