RHS Chelsea show wins major finance backing

Garden and greenhouse enthusiasts have been informed that the world-famous Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Chelsea Flower Show and Charity Gala Preview have received corporate sponsorship for the next three years.

According to the RHS, fund management firm M&G will be headline sponsor and help finance the popular London event.

President of the gardening organisation Giles Coode-Adams explained that the union will help the body educate millions of people, giving them the advice they need to succeed as young gardeners and greenhouse lovers.

"RHS shows provide inspiration for people around the world. With a phenomenal response from specialist growers, top designers and leading lights, 2010 RHS Chelsea will be bursting with horticultural delights and world-class displays," he said.

Tickets for the event are already on sale and visitors will get to see the largest garden display ever created by the Eden Project – a series of giant greenhouses in Cornwall.

Garden and greenhouse fans heading to the St Austell attraction before February 2nd will be able to take advantage of a large ice rink.
