Budding gardeners in the USs smallest state have a chance to pick up some gardening tips at a range of gardening classes, which begin tomorrow (March 12th).

Those with an interest in horticulture can discover how to get the best out of their gardens and greenhouses on a budget at the Gardening on a Shoestring class.

According to newsday.com, the $10 class takes place at Clark Botanic Garden in Albertson from 13:00 local time on March 22nd.

It will look at frugal methods of gardening from seed-swapping to composting and attendees will also be able to explore the 12-acre gardens at the site on Willets Road.

Another class is the free Lawn and Landscape tutorial taking place tomorrow from 19:00 local time in Melville Library.

The class will be taken by Eric Pomisel of GroKind Organics and will teach gardeners how to properly care for their lawn.

A range of other classes and shows will also take place in the area over the coming weeks and gardeners should check out the website for more information.
