Pick up tips during Adult Learners Week
The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) is encouraging gardeners to make the most of Adult Learners Week by taking time to invest in some horticultural education.
From Saturday May 9th until Friday May 15th, the National Institute of Adult Continuing Education (NIACE) will help people see the benefit of acquiring new knowledge and skills.
As part of the week, the RHS is running a number of courses at its gardens around the country.
Its Wisley site in Surrey will host more than 100 events from the beginners Learn to Garden class to more specialised subjects.
Keen horticulturalists can pick up tips on more than a few topics, including budding, grafting and botany.
Other courses on offer at the RHS centres teach adults skills in arts and crafts, such as Botanical Arts, Photography and Flower Arranging.
According to NIACE, Adult Learners Week is the largest and longest running festival of learning in the UK.
