Hear an audio drama in Edinburgh gardens

Horticulture enthusiasts who wish to enjoy the Royal Botanic Garden and its greenhouses in Edinburgh may be interested to hear of a current offer.

The attraction is allowing visitors to wander the grounds while listening to a headphone audio drama based on Midsummer Nights Dream.

David Leddys Susurrus will be available to listen to from 10:00 BST until 18:45 until September 6th.

Costing £8, the tour is suitable for those aged 16-plus and begins at the Temperate Palm House.

According to the attractions website, the Scotsman described Leddy as "one of the most interesting writers on the Scottish scene".

The approximate duration of the walk is an hour and 45 minutes and concession tickets are available.

Meanwhile, a Green Party member recently suggested people should head to the renowned garden and greenhouse site to take in the Power Plant light and sound show.

Robin Harper told BBC News the display was thought-provoking and "unmissable".
