Hampton Court Palace Flower show to accept kids for nothing

Parents hoping to encourage their offspring to adopt their own love of gardens and greenhouses may be interested to hear about an upcoming event.

For every paying adult attending the Royal Horticultural Societys (RHS) Hampton Court Palace Flower Show, two children will be able to attend without a fee.

A range of activities will be available for young growers, including face painting, entertainment and a display of scarecrows created by locals schools.

"Getting children gardening, being outdoors, discovering nature and learning is core to the RHS and this action-packed event provides fun and inspiration for all the family," explained show manager Mandy Almond.

The show takes place from July 7th until 12th and the final two days will be set aside to specifically cater for families, with kids being able to learn about cooking with fresh produce.

Gardeners with a taste for exotic foods may also be interested to hear the organisation recently revealed it will have a grow your own curry theme, with some spicy foods available to sample and buy.
