Garden show in Cleveland

Garden and greenhouse enthusiasts in Cleveland have a major event to look forward to next month.

Beginning on February 6th, the Great Big Home & Garden Expo takes place at the I-X Centre and lasts until February 14th, according to Akrom.com.

Growers will be able to get tips from master gardeners on topics such as pruning, orchids, organic gardening, rose care, canning, harvesting and seed starting.

There will also be a string of local landscapers on hand to create a number of attractive gardens to give visitors ideas for their own green spaces.

A partnership between Cleveland Botanical Garden and the Ohio State University Extensions Master Gardeners of Cuyahoga County will put on a display of tropical plants, as well as showcases of farming and composting.

In other news, the University of Illinois Extension is set to host a number of winter gardening programmes from Feb 23rd.

They will be delivered electronically through the universitys telenet system.
