Garden and greenhouse body redesigns website

Garden and greenhouse fans have helped the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) redesign its website through their feedback, the body has revealed.

Major structural changes have been taking place over the past month, with the Gardening section now containing a number of new videos, as well as plenty of growing tips.

Furthermore, there is a new section devoted to boosting child participation in horticulture, while a list of courses is also available for those looking to boost their skills.

The online resources advice section is in the process of being transferred to its new format, while the search function is currently not operational, but will be soon.

Meanwhile, the members section is being updated and is expected to be relaunched by the end of 2009, complete with new features.

The plant selector function remains as it has been but is also set to be redeveloped next year.

In other news, the RHS recently revealed that a number of British wildflower species have enjoyed a resurgence in population this year.
