Conservatory blinds keep most people cool
The majority of people use conservatory blinds to keep their glass structures warmer in the winter and cooler during the summer months.
Such is the assertion of Richard Hussey, head of marketing at the Appeal Group, who tells online resource the Journal that 70 per cent of consumers use the conservatory accessories to keep the living space comfortable on a year-round basis.
The use of blinds in the winter also has the potential to insulate a conservatory and, in turn, reduce energy bills and carbon footprints.
He adds that a further benefit of conservatory blinds is that they prevent external glare from entering the room, explaining that when the sun is out it can make it impossible to read a newspaper without wearing sunglasses.
Meanwhile, Kudos Showers recently identified curved glass as "the ultimate" in contemporary design, noting its presence in a wide range of sectors including home interiors and cars.
