Conservatory adds value for money

The extra space added to a property when a conservatory is attached helps to represent value for money, it has been suggested.

Property developer George Wimpey North West explains that houses in its Knightsbridge Park project come with up to five bedrooms.

But all can stand to benefit from the extra room provided in the form of a conservatory, a spokesperson claims.

Marie Wilkinson, sales and marketing director for George Wimpey North West, says: "With a conservatory added too, the space offered by larger properties like these represents excellent value for money in the current market."

The company notes that conservatories are among the three most commonly carried out home improvement efforts in the UK.

Meanwhile, figures from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors show that adding such a structure can raise a homes value by up to five per cent.

The organisation offers guidance on installing a conservatory, which it adds could be of interest to those looking to develop a property in order to sell it on.
