Church hall gets stained glass window

A church hall is to be officially opened on Sunday, featuring a unique stained glass window designed by a renowned glass artist.

The Feed My Lambs hall, owned by the Llanbeblig Parish, has been undergoing renovation since last November after closing in 1999.

The former infant school was built in 1836 and will now be opened by the widow of the former Bishop of Bangor Anthony Crockett, who died this year.

Feed My Lambs committee chairman Malcolm Jones JP explained that the stained glass window, designed by Meri Jones, was based on the winning entry of a local schools drawing competition.

"The winning drawing by Chloe Jones is being used as the basis of a design for stained glass to be placed in the original 1836 window that was discovered during the renovation work," he told the Caernarfon Herald.

Glass design can often complete a building, whether it is a stained glass window in a church hall, or a bespoke glazed pool house attached to a home.
