Childrens Easter activities at Kew

Families looking for a way to amuse their youngsters over the Easter weekend could find the answer lies at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.

Between Friday March 21st and 24th large bunnies from the Giant Rabbit Rescue Centre will be present at the site, while some of the specimens can reach weights of 16 – 18 lbs, guests are reassured that the animals are "very friendly".

On Easter Sunday itself, a traditional Easter egg hunt will take place from 10:00 to 14:00 GMT.

Children can collect tokens from Kews chicks and receive a chocolate egg from the Easter Bunny and participation is free once visitors are in the gardens.

Finally, from March 21st until April 20th young explorers have the chance to follow Kews Bulb Trail to a range of locations across the grounds.

After answering a simple question about spring plants at each location, a scratchcard can be completed and a prize claimed.

Kew Gardens has awarded Hartley botanic with an exclusive endorsement in the category of glasshouses.
