Bath to host horticultural show

The historic city of Bath will this weekend welcome garden and greenhouse enthusiasts from around the UK.

Beginning on Friday (September 3rd), the National Gardening Show will take place at the Bath & West Showground for the 14th time.

The three-day event will provide growers with all sorts of horticultural displays to get excited about, from flowers to giant fruits and vegetables.

As part of the show, the National Giant Vegetable Competition always provides great entertainment and attracts interest from both visitors and the press.

The National Dahlia Show is also taking place in the Showering Pavilion, while there is plenty of entertainment on offer for youngsters.

Kids tend to love the Scarecrow competition, while the animals and poultry show should keep them amused over the weekend.

The city of Bath was founded on the UK’s only hot spring, which still feeds the famous Roman Baths today.

As well as the show, the city also boasts numerous historic museums and a rich heritage.
