Autumn Planting Fall

Few gardeners believe Autumn is the best time to plant, but the Royal Horticultural Society is trying to ensure that gardeners get information about the rich variety of species which do thrive from starting life at this time of year.

And Gabriel Ash fans will know that greenhouses – especially those equipped with Gabriel Ash quality seed trays – are a place to grow all year round.

The RHS is urging gardeners to get planting in autumn, following a recent survey which showed that only 12% of people think that this season is the best time.

The RHS has also discovered that only 6% of people purchase their plants in autumn.

The Society has launched the Autumn Planting for Year Round Colour campaign, with the aim to have a myriad of plants established by Spring.

As part of the campaign, gardeners can receive free autumn planting cards and there will be talks from gardening experts at four RHS Gardens – Wisley, Rosemoor, Hyde Hall and Harlow Carr.
