Autumn events for garden and greenhouse fans
According to the organisation, the fall season is when most of the work garden and greenhouse enthusiasts have put in throughout the year comes to fruition.
It is when those growing fruit and vegetables are most likely to be harvesting their crops and the RHS has chosen to put on a number of celebrations at its sites around the country.
One such event will be the Harvest Festival at Gloucestershires Painswick Rococo Garden.
Taking place from October 19th until November 1st, visitors will be able to try their hand at juice making, see a variety of heritage apples and sample recipes featuring fresh fruit and vegetables.
Meanwhile, Somersets Prennard Plants will host Harvest Home – The Joys of Autumn on October 17th.
It will see experienced grower Chris Smith explore what makes autumn such a joyous time, distribute planning tips and help garden and greenhouse growers plan for success.
