A library with a view in Howdon
Howdon Library in North Tyneside is to be torn down and replaced with a brand new building, complete with conservatory and family learning centre.
The conservatory will overlook the facilitys garden and will give users a relaxing and cosy place in which to sit and read.
Plans were given the go-ahead following funding to the tune of £1.3 million being donated to the project by the Big Lottery Community Libraries Fund, according to the Northumberland Gazette.
Local mayor John Harrison told the paper that the facilitys users were a big part of the planning process.

"The new building will give more space for activities, offering wider access and making use of the sites garden for the first tim
