TV garden guru set to speak at SAC event

Each year for the past two decades the Scottish Agricultural College (SAC) has held a lecture in conjunction with the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS).

Next years event will be held on February 3rd and will take place in the lecture theatre of the University of the West of Scotlands Ayr campus.

The Guest speaker at the event will be the BBCs acclaimed garden expert and author, Gay Search.

Ms Search is perhaps best known for her work alongside the late Geoff Hamilton on the programme Front Gardens.

She also produced a book by the same name as well as a number of other gardening books including the Healing Gardener and Gardening from Scratch.

The event will act as a warm-up to a summer of flower shows laid on by the RHS and beginning in Cardiff on April 17th.

Tickets for the lecture are available through the SACs Peter MacDonald and are priced £4 for RHS members and £6 for non-members.
