Take a stroll for garden and greenhouse inspiration

As winter gives way to spring, Brits may be thinking about starting work in the garden and greenhouse in order to create a beautiful display for summertime.

The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) has suggested that a stroll through one of the countrys many attractive landscape gardens could be an ideal way to while away the hours.

It could also give growers the inspiration they have been seeking to create the garden of their dreams at home.

Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire offers beautiful grounds that can be explored free by RHS members for the remainder of February.

Its water terraces were designed around Berninis River Gods Fountain, while the Grand Cascade is said to be one of the most attractive waterfalls in England.

The Temple of Diana is another famous attraction worth a visit. Famous former prime minister Winston Churchill chose the spot to propose to his wife 102 years ago.

Meanwhile, the RHS has revealed that a thanksgiving service will be held in celebration of the life of renowned garden expert Bonham Bazeley, who died late last year.
