One of the show gardens at the 24th annual San Francisco Flower and Garden Show will provoke interesting ideas about sustainable gardening, it has been revealed.

Writing in the San Jose Mercury News, Tony Tomeo, creator of The Sustainable Garden, highlights how this years San Francisco Flower and Garden Show trends will include recycled materials, green technology and the correct use of natural resources.

Consequently, his own garden will feature a novel way of capturing rainwater and a solar array and windmill to pump water.

Meanwhile, owner Duane Kelly believes this years San Francisco Flower and Garden Show is likely to set a new standard.

"Were pulling out all the stops to make sure this years show is the best yet," he said.

However, he also admitted that the show is unlikely to make it to its 25th birthday.

"This has been a labor of love for me, but I have plays to write and numerous other projects that have been begging for my attention, and short of finding someone whod like to take the show to a new level, its time to bring the curtain down," he commented."ADNFCR-1495-ID-19057986-ADNFCR"
