RHS talks to exhibitor ahead of Autumn Harvest Show
The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) is getting in the mood for its Autumn Harvest Show by talking to exhibitors about what to expect.
Taking place at the RHS Lindley and Lawrence Halls in London on October 5th and 6th, the event is free for members, while non-members will pay £5 on the Tuesday and £3 on the Wednesday.
One group set to dazzle visitors with its displays of dahlias will be Winchester Growers and spokesman John Wheatley explained that its main exhibit will be seen as soon as you walk through the front door.
Mr Wheatley has previously won recognition at the London flowers shows and was partially responsible for the Home Grown exhibit at the recent Hampton Court Palace Flower Show.
"We’re going to use a range of different plants in with the dahlias that’ll really show them off, so it’ll be very seasonal but with spectacular shapes and colours and forms," he explained.
He added that visitors can expect him to showcase a couple of "high quality floral arrangements" using dahlias to show what can be done with the flower.
