RHS releases 2011 show tickets

While November and December may be quiet times for garden and greenhouse lovers, the UK’s top botanic body has given them cause for cheer.

Growers can now whet their appetite for next year by ordering tickets for some of the best Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) shows of 2011.

Included in these is the famous RHS Chelsea Flower Show, which the organisation describes as the "ultimate event in the gardening calendar".

According to the body, "it’s the place to see; and to be seen at. Tickets always sell out, so be quick".

Taking place from May 24th to 28th, the event has become an institution in London, attracting all manner of celebrity faces and horticulture luminaries.

Prior to the Chelsea event, the RHS Show Cardiff will kick off the new season on April 8th, 9th and 10th, with some fabulous spring blooms.

Later, Hampton Court Palace Flower Show and the RHS Show Tatton Park will run from July 5th to 10th and 20th to 24th respectively.

Meanwhile, the RHS recently reported that a Which? Gardening study found expensive winter wildlife shelters to be useless.
