RHS invites mothers and kids to Wisley

The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) is encouraging kids and big kids to treat their mums to a trip to its gardens at Wisley this weekend.

With Mothers Day less than 48 hours away (Sunday March 22nd), the Guilford attraction is offering a number of activities over the weekend.

Children can enjoy pot painting in the Clore Learning Centre, where they can make their mum a special gift to take home, while parents stroll around the glasshouse, admiring the exotic orchid displays.

Visitors may also enjoy the blooming spring bulbs around the canal and take inspiration from the daffodils, magnolia and blossom in the Pinetum or Arboretum areas.

Garden enthusiasts will be able to pick up some pearls of wisdom from RHS expert gardener Lucie Rudnicka, who will offer advice on the care and cultivation of alpines during a range of informal talks.

Admission is free for RHS members and costs £8.50 for adults and £2.50 for children.

Meanwhile, the RHS London Greener Gardening Show is set to take place from March 31st until April 1st.
