RHS Garden Wisley to host show

The Wisley Flower Show is set to take place next weekend, with a number of changes from its normal format.

Firstly, the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) usually hosts the event in August, but this years instalment will run from September 11th to 13th.

This is down to the increased number of activities at Garden Wisley over the school summer holidays.

Visitors to the show will also notice a new layout, with stalls and displays lining the paths along the way to the large glasshouse on site.

The National Association of Flower Arranging Societies (NAFAS) is set to exhibit a large display, while its members will distribute garden and greenhouse tips to attendees.

Horticulture lovers at the event will be asked to vote on their favourite display as part of the Peoples Choice awards.

As well as NAFAS, there will also be more than 30 nurseries on site, selling and demonstrating their produce.

It comes as the RHS prepares to host its Dig Together Days, where garden and greenhouse lovers will be encouraged to pass their skills on to others.
