RHS Chelsea Flower Show the greatest show on earth

The glitz and glamour of the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Chelsea Flower Show has been highlighted by the Sunday Times.

Writing in the online pages of the publication, Rachel de Thame explains that the show is the only thing that means anything to her throughout the month of May.

The event, which begins on May 20th, is arguably the biggest show in the global gardening calendar, she notes.

"Ive been visiting it since I was a child. It often includes sights of such beauty, they make you want to give up everything else and devote your life to growing plants," Ms de Thame explains.

She states that in this years event she will be designing one of the gardens in the new urban category.

The RHS explains that there will be three different categories of horticultural displays at the show – urban, courtyard and show, alongside attractions such as the Continuous Learning area, which gives horticultural fans an insight into future gardening developments.
