The Northwest Flower and Garden Show begins tomorrow in Seattles Convention Centre.

Lasting four days, the event should give gardeners ideas to take back home to their own greenhouses.

Offering horticulturalists the chance to see a range of gardens that have taken up to nine months of planning, the show has been running for two decades and now offers a range of seminars distributing gardening tips.

The show will use 1,200 cubic yards of sawdust and mulch and around 280,000 pounds of rock to create the gardens while over 300 lighting instruments will illuminate the show from above.

Tickets are available for one day, two days and the full event, while those looking to save some cash can pick up discounted half day tickets from 15:00 onwards.

Attendees can buy plants and seeds at the show and while food outlets are available, visitors are free to come and go from the event as they please as long as they get their hand stamped on exit.

Seattle has a mix of marine west coast and Mediterranean climates and is protected from Pacific storms by the Olympic Mountains and from Arctic air by the Cascade Range."ADNFCR-1495-ID-19031073-ADNFCR"
