A new apartment building in New Yorks Brooklyn is to feature a cutting-edge technology known as "Visionwall".
The 13-storey building will have an all-glass exterior that is energy-efficient through its "tremendous insulation value", according to its developer.
Karnusa Equities chief executive officer David Weiss explained that "535 The Collection", as the building will be known, is the first clear-glass building to meet energy codes.
"We are very proud of this development," he told the Brooklyn Eagle.
"Our goal was to build superior homes with excellent quality of construction, and we truly believe we have created the best product and a terrific value that people cannot find elsewhere."
The buildings glass windows and sliding doors are completely sound-proof and the apartments range from one bedroom to three bedrooms, according to the paper.
The buildings ten-feet high floor-to-ceiling windows and wrap-around balconies will offer great views, and if that isnt enough residents in the three penthouses will also have access to their own private rooftop terrace.
Glass has become the defining feature of building in the 21st century and new technology means that it is more eco-friendly and cost-efficient than ever.
