National Garden Week to launch in spring

Tying in with Britain in Bloom, the first National Garden Week is aimed at trying to engage more people into tending a patch and the schedule will include top gardening tips from experts and a range of fun activities for all the family at four different RHS gardens.

RHS director general Sue Biggs said there are more exciting plans to entice as many people as possible, which will be announced in the lead up to the week for maximum effect.

“It is fantastic that this inaugural gardening week combines with the Britain in Bloom launch and the year of The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee to get the nation growing,” she added.
