Many highlights at Llangollen Gardening Show

Llangollen Gardening show is set to be bigger and better than ever now that it is in its third year, it has been asserted.

Online resource the Daily Post explains that the event, which is due to run from June 7th – 8th, will feature a range of highlights.

These include appearances from a range of Royal Horticultural Society Chelsea Flower Show gold medal winners as well as gardening experts Sam Youd from Tatton Park and Margaret Thrower, the daughter of Percy Thrower.

A lecture on garden design will also be given by Daily Telegraph horticultural writer Stephen Lacey.

Furthermore, Chelsea multi-gold medallist winner Medwyn Williams will pour the first-ever cup of Welsh coffee, which has been grown from beans in Bangor.

Biodiversity will also feature on the agenda, with BBC birdman Iolo Williams giving a talk.

Organisers of the event refer to it as "the garden party of the year".
