Homeowners contemplating erecting a glazed extension such as a conservatory or bespoke garden studio may be interested in the sustainability and environmental-friendliness of their plans.
Over the last two days (June 17th and 18th), the Greenbuild Expo has been taking place in Manchester Central.
The venue itself seemed to fit the bill nicely as it is in mid-renovation.
In excess of 50 exhibitors filled the main room, with other sections set aside for workshops and seminars.
Some of the topics covered included carbon reduction, sustainable building policies and wind turbines.
According to Sustain magazine deputy editor Steven Oxley, the show was "good and very busy", with attendees "interested in sustainability and environmental issues".
Exhibitors at the event included Eon, EcoSkies and the Department of Communities and Local Government.
Homeowners who missed the expo may be interested in attending the Southern Homebuilding and Renovating Show at Sandown Park in Surrey on June 27th and 28th.
