Look out for the worlds largest hanging garden in London

Gardeners in London may wish to head to Paddington to feast their eyes on a true wonder of horticulture.

Those who do might be best to take a hard-hat with them as the wonder in question is a giant hanging garden suspended 25 feet above the ground.

It is the work of the newly-opened Hotel Indigo London and features over 100 species of plants and flowers.

Hotel spokesman Karin Nielsen explained that the basket was designed to reflect the hotels uniqueness.

"Our hotel is all about unique design, bold colours and seasonal changes, so what better way to mark its arrival in the UK than by creating the worlds largest hanging basket?" he said.

"Weve taken our inspiration from the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, one of the seven wonders of the world, and hope that our hanging garden will become a wonder of London."

Meanwhile, youngsters from primary schools in Wimbledon have recently been brushing up on their greenhouse and gardening skills as they help out with the £1 million restoration of South Park Gardens, according to the Wimbledon Guardian.
