Liverpool to benefit from Dimmock expertise
Gardening fans will be able to pick up tips from a BBC expert at a Liverpool show scheduled for next month.
Star of Ground Force Charlie Dimmock has been named on the bill for the North West Homes and Gardens Show at the citys Echo Arena, reports the Ormskirk Advertiser.
She first shot to fame after appearing in the show alongside Alan Titchmarsh and Tommy Walsh and followed this up with other series and her own books.
Quoted by the Advertiser, Miss Dimmock said of her rise to fame: "It was completely unexpected. Id always been a keen gardener, but I never imagined myself on TV."
Her stardom even led to a garden gnome being crafted in her image by Northamptonshire Stonemason Jeff Callaghan.
A Hampshire resident, Miss Dimmock first made it on to the BBCs radar when she was manager of Mill Water Gardens in her home county.
TV chef Jean Christophe Novelli is another famous name lined up to attend the May 17 and 18 show.
