Join a course in the garden of Eden

Keen gardeners can now take part in a practical gardening course at the Eden Project, accredited by the Royal Botanic Garden of Edinburgh.

The course will consist of ten days spread over nine months, beginning in September, and will cost £50 per day.

Edens horticultural team will tutor students in a range of fields including soils, composts, potting, planting and general plant knowledge.

Eden nursery assistant curator Roger Wasley described the course as a unique opportunity for gardeners.

"This is a definite first for us and will provide a unique chance to work with a diverse collection of plants from around the world in stunning surroundings," he told ThisIsCornwall.co.uk.

"These courses will be really hands-on and are a great way to learn new practical skills that are relevant to the amateur gardener and semi- professional alike."

The Eden Project, located near St Blazey in England, is the worlds largest greenhouse.
