Patients and visitors at a Hertfordshire hospice are now able to enjoy pleasant views and natural sunlight after it built a conservatory as part of a grand renovation project.

The conservatory at Isabel Hospice will improve the quality of life for patients and comes alongside a refitted kitchen in a £350,000 facelift, according to the Welwyn and Hatfield Times.

The Hall Grove hospices director of finance and administration Nigel Furlong explained to the newspaper that the work had done much to improve the facility.

"This work has not only upgraded the environment of care, but has also improved the way in which we are able to utilise the space," he said.

Having a conservatory will enable patients to make the most of the summer, even if they are unable to venture outside.

The news follows yesterdays story of an Essex family who won a competition that will see their mortgage paid for one year.

With the savings the family plan to invest in a conservatory to help them make the best of their property."ADNFCR-1495-ID-19065039-ADNFCR"
