Horticulturalists prepare for Gardening Scotland

Green-fingered enthusiasts are preparing for Scotlands largest horticultural show, reports indicate.

The Edinburgh Evening News explains that that around 30,000 visitors are expected to descend on the Royal Highland Centre at Ingliston, just outside Edinburgh, this weekend.

According to the publication, a wide range of guests are expected to go to the show, ranging from devoted amateur gardeners to outdoor specialists and horticultural companies.

It notes that many aspects of garden life will be covered at the event, with a section including equipment such as patio furniture, gnomes and barbecues, while advice on garden fauna will be available from onsite experts.

Organisers of Gardening Scotland note that a total of 14 show gardens will be on display, alongside a fashion show of recycled and biodegradable horticultural clothes.

"The show is the highlight of the gardening year in Scotland, providing dedicated gardeners with access to specialist nurseries and growers from all over the UK and giving new gardeners all the inspiration and advice they need," the explain.
