Holy garden set to open

Gardeners with a passion for religion will be able to combine the two this weekend by visiting the new Biblical-themed gardens at Holly Mount United Reformed Church in Malvern, Worcestershire.

The church is to unveil the £32,000 project at 10am tomorrow and will showcase the gardens over both Saturday and Sunday.

Spokesman Andrew Webb explained that the garden should be ready for Saturday and that those lucky enough to get a sneak preview have been very impressed.

"We have been doing some finishing touches this week but we are almost there," he said.

"The people who have seen it so far have been very pleased with it.

"They can see the potential for how it can be used in the future."

Although the garden is set to open this weekend, it will continue to be developed over the coming months, with a sculpture of a Jesse Tree made from biblical symbols set to be installed.
