Greenhouse lights show "unmissable"

Gardening enthusiasts have been urged to attend a show based around a greenhouse in Edinburgh.

The Royal Botanic Gardens Power Plant is part of the Fringe Festival and treats audiences to a sound and light performance with a large glasshouse as its centrepiece.

According to BBC News, a Green MSP has come out in support of the attraction, which consists of an hour-long walk through the grounds of the gardens, with its plants and greenhouses cast in weird and wonderful lights.

The show is reportedly set to a soundtrack that involves vacuums attached to organ pipes and a World War II air raid siren.

Horticultural images are projected onto surfaces around the gardens, but the showpiece is a Victorian glasshouse lit up in such a was as to seem as if electricity is running through it.

"This very vivid experience is unmissable because it will alter peoples view of nature quite deeply and provoke thought on climate change," Green Party member Robin Harper told the news provider.

Meanwhile, the Royal Botanic Garden is set to host a Tales in the Gloaming event on September 4th.
