Greenhouse enthusiasts invited to spicy garden show

Greenhouse growers with an interest in cultivating food can learn how to make a curry from garden produce at the forthcoming Hampton Court Palace Flower Show.

The event takes place between July 7th and 12th and is set to have a theme of growing your own food, according to the Royal Horticultural Society.

On display will be the rarely-grown hyacinth beans, as well as some of the worlds spiciest chillies.

Visitors will be able to take in a Beans and Herbs display with Indian and Mediterranean cooking herbs such as ajwain and coriander.

The produce of 14 specialist companies will be available for purchase, with spicy varieties such as the Dorset Naga chilli on offer.

Meanwhile the Cookoo Box Nursery will have an array of vegetables, herbs, fruits and salads to cool the palate of those who prefer less hot foods.

The event follows last weekends (June 13th and 14th) Beekeeping Open Weekend at RHS Harlow Carr.
