Garden and greenhouse enthusiasts invited to radio show

The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) has revealed its Garden Harlow Carr site will host BBC Radio 4s Gardeners Question time annual Garden Party.

Visitors will be able to take part in recordings with experts such as Bob Flowerdew, Bunny Guiness and Pippa Greenwood.

The event could be a good opportunity to pick up some useful gardening tips, with attendees able to put their questions to the panel of experts.

It will take place on September 5th, with the two recorded shows to be broadcast on September 18th and 25th.

Tickets cost £3 for RHS members an £10 for non-members – and these will grant access to a number demonstrations and workshops.

Despairing greenhouse enthusiasts are invited to bring a sample of a problem plant in a sealed plastic bag to Pippas Pest & Disease Clinic for some useful advice.

There will also be a Plant Swap Shop, where growers can bring something to exchange.

Meanwhile, the RHS held its first Local Produce Show over the weekend (August 22nd and 23rd), where gardeners were able to show off their home-grown foods.
