Front Gardens lecture set for Ayr

The University of the West of Scotland is set to host the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) and the Scottish Agricultural Colleges (SAC) 20th annual lecture in the New Year.

Gardeners from all over Scotland will likely attend the event as they attempt to fight the withdrawal symptoms caused by the winter chill.

It will be the ideal way of warming up for the first RHS flower show of the year in Cardiff on April 17th.

TVs Gay Search will be guest speaker at the event, which takes place in the lecture theatre of the Ayr campus.

Ms Search is famed for her role with the late Geoff Hamilton on the BBCs Front Gardens and also released a book by the same name.

Other titles written by the gardening expert include the Healing Gardener and Gardening from Scratch.

The lecture takes place on February 3rd and tickets will be priced £4 for RHS members and £6 for non-members.

They are available through SACs Peter MacDonald.
