Floral designs big in 2009

Conservatories generally look out over the garden, allowing homeowners to enjoy a pleasant view from the comfort and warmth of the indoors.

A quality conservatory will keep out the wind and rain all year round, providing households with the ideal venue for entertaining guests.

With views of the garden being one of the major features of a conservatory, it stands to reason that designs that incorporate nature are popular when furnishing the glazed extension.

Sarah Quilliam, head of product design for Hillarys Blinds, predicts that floral designs will be big in 2009.

"As all things nature and natural are fashions latest pre-occupation, so too is this reflected in interiors," she said.

"Earthy floral and botanical prints on roman blinds are an easy way to pay homage to this look and give a fresh twist to bringing the outdoors in."

Large areas of England saw heavy snowfall recently and owners of quality conservatories would have been able to enjoy pleasant winter views as a result.
