Corrie stars Shobna Gulati and Jimmi Harkishin were among thousands of guests who showed their appreciation for gardening.
Mrs Gulati said that she was very impressed with the Southport style.
“Some of the gardens have been fantastic and I particularly liked the school gardens. I like gardening and it’s been great to come here and see so many people who share that interest,” she added.
Mrs Gulati and Mr Harkishin were also invited to a lunch held by former Hollyoaks actress Sarah Jayne Buckley which raised £1,362 for The Legacy Rainbow House disabled children’s centre.
Flower Show chairman David Rose was keen to pay tribute to the effort that everyone put into getting the show up and running
