Adult Learners Week provides opportunities

The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) has suggested Adult Learners Week is a "great time to invest some time in learning".

Explaining it is an opportunity to develop new skills, change your career, or just meet new people, the RHS is putting its weight behind the festival.

The week takes place from this Saturday (May 9th) until next Friday (May 15th) and is organised by the National Institute of Adult Continuing Education (NIACE).

It is aimed at boosting adults skills and knowledge in a wide range of subjects and is the largest and longest-running festival of learning in the UK, according to NIACE.

The RHS suggests people with and interest in gardens or greenhouses make the most of the week by picking up new tips on horticulture.

It is hosting a number of events, with over 100 courses at its Wisley Garden alone.

Growers can get advice on everything from beginners issues to budding, grafting and botany.

The centres also offer arts and crafts courses to adults, including Botanical Arts, Photography and Flower Arranging.
