Grow London is the alternative gardening show for people who are interested in gardening but do not necessarily have the space or the experience to experience the delights of green-fingered pursuits.
Held on Hampstead Heath, North London, the three day event is the brainchild of Will Ramsey;
“Not everyone has the space at home to develop a passion for gardening…we’d like to make gardening more accessible and democratise it too.”
With London in the midst of a flat building boom, with balconies and window boxes currently in vogue Mr Ramsey believes Grow London could become a permanent fixture;
“Developers are starting to realise that people want outside space.”
Exhibitors include New Zealand based Boskke, which sells upside down “sky planters”, and south London based “contemporary outdoor furniture” specialist, Bardbed.
Items for sale include seed bombs, plants and oak furniture.
